You need to get there before 10 if you expect to get some shade. We looked at a 3bdrm unit already remodeled and it was amazing The staff is the best I have experienced including taking initiatives without being asked. The old girl is coming to life. Beds were old, as was the furniture, fixtures and flooring. We went to La Cabana for happy hour.
They had started upgradingand every room will have new furnishings, appliances and tiles.
With impeccable weather year round and a whole list of exciting things to do and see, your vacations to the Tropicana will provide you with the rest and relaxation you're looking for. We were never told we had mail and only received it after I made a call to the operator about another matter, the day before we left.
Total finish on the remodeling is slated to be 18 months The management in this place may be changing but be very cautious in booking here unless there is a change in management. The one bedrom does not have a full kitchen in that it does not have an oven or dishwasher.
Management is emphasizing safety and customer comfort before trying to sell timeshares before necessary upgrades are finished. The staff was great! My bed is very comfortable and my room neat and clean.
My family and friends will continue to stay at Tropicana and make memories that will last a lifetime!! The rooms are very clean. They would not even give us the name of the manager when we requested it and we had to fight to see the manager later in the day who very carefully told us that they had no liability for anything that happened but did admit that the elevator breaking down was their fault.
Large pool with waterslide and swim up bar was closed for renovations.
This is one of our top-rated locations from over 20 years of time share. Very modern and fully livable units. Our unit slept 6, but only 4 could eat at the table. The resort offers accommodations in one- and two-bedroom suites spread throughout the property. I would recommend this resort to anyone thinking about going to Aruba. The unit smelled like must when we arrived, but after keeping the air on, it got better.
They left tags to the people who saved huts, but didn't do anything about it even though people didn't arrive at the beach for 4 or 5 hours. I would not stay here again unless I had no other options.
That also was blamed on us for not reporting that the light didn't flash on our phone even thought the operator knew it didn't work. They blocked Monday night football from the rooms, so you had to go to a bar to see it. By thomasb Updated Sep 8, My family has owned and have been comming here for over 15 years. They need to do more about the food.
See review of restaraunt below.
The Villas are set back from the ajoining La Cabanas Beach club, having 2 separate pools one with a swim up bareasy access to the onsite convenience store and has use of all of the Beach club amenities such as several restaurants, bars, casino, pool and beach. We opted for a partial meal plan that was fantastic--it allowed us to choose among the very good restaurants at La Cabana as well as from highly rated and well-known restaurants around town.
By marys Feb 21, I have been gone to Aruba 15 times. Kudos to the staff and management. The Tropicana used to be part of LaCabana and is in diar need of a rennovation.
It's dated and too large. Otherwise, I suggest staying at either of the Marriott properties. By jeff Mar 8, All in all, a very disappointing resort. Indulge in the massive swimming pool, complete with a water slide, lounge in the whirlpool spas, hit the fitness center, spend a night gambling at the casino, or venture out easily across the island to discover a myriad of things to do and see.
